Pros: When it works you can read codes and very limited sensor data when it works.
Cons: Unit is unreliable, expensive third-party software is required to operate all features and customer support from the company is non existent.

This review is not out of spite but out of pure warning to others thinking about purchasing this device in the future. I would not advise nor would I recommend purchasing this at any time. First off the unit is expensive for what it is ($109+ shipping). For a smaller amount of money you can purchase a standalone handheld scanner which will do the same this will do with out paying for the extra software. Also it is not reliable in anyway shape or form, I have had two of these units now and both have failed within a few days of light use. If you feel you want to spend $100 on a one time use tool feel free to be my guest but for me I value my money a bit more. Customer service is not the priority of these people from what I gathered with my experience they could care less if you are happy with what they sell or not. When I first ordered the USB All-in-one as they call it, I didn’t even receive the correct item. I actually received the ALDL OBD-I cable and I do understand mistakes happen and wasn’t the least bit unhappy about the mishap. Trying to get them to correct this was like pulling teeth; I left numerous phone messages to their company number and also countless emails which they finally responded to and finally resolved the problem. I received the replacement just as fast as they shipped the original package (USPS Priority) and mailed them back the ALDL. Here is where the frustration really starts. Getting it to work was a pain in the @$$, I had to mess around with com port and baud rate settings to get it to communicate so for those who are not computer literate this is for sure not for you. Finally was able to read a code, that’s when I found out that was about all you were able to do unless you shelled out another one hundred bones to a third party software company to do more with it (i.e. self tests, freeze frame data, and live 02 sensor graphing). Then just as sudden as it started working it stopped and after a few hours of trying and trying to get it to communicate I gave up and gave them a call. Same as last time took a few days to get a hold of them, and of course what do you know they will not do over the phone tech support; they told me I would have to send it in. So once again I paid out of pocket to mail in their problem. 2 months and allot of phone calls and emails later I received a new one, no news from them no diagnosis of the problem just a brand new unit. Connected it to the computer and what do you know works right off the bat, same limitations as last one but worked right away this time so I figured must have just been a lemon….. WRONG after scanning 3 cars yes just 3 it stopped working just as quick as the last one. Back on the phone again, no answer what a surprise left a message no return call. So went to the emails again and sent countless amounts of them trying to get a replacement or even a refund but to no avail didn’t get a single reply. So now I am stuck with a worthless hundred dollar piece of plastic and wire that doesn’t work, and their web site even says one year warranty but I guess that’s no transferable to the replacement. To bad for me right….. Next time I will pay the big money and buy a name brand instead of deal with fools like these people ever again. This is my story you have been warned.
