I have a problem here, i have a 1999 ford f 150 4.2l. I've been having problems with Po171 and po174, system to lean in bank 1 and 2. I've done alotof stuff, feul pump, fuel filter, fuel injector assembly kit, injector oil rings and intake gasket. and theres no leaks. I just had the fuel injector flush to see if that works. But after they did that they checked the codes before they earsed them and there was 3 more codes that have never been there before. P0300,P0304 and P0306 ( cyclinder misfire)Whats going on. :?

HuH? Allen what are you talking about? jfdewalt has anyone checked or changed the MAF yet?
Are you sure the intake still doesn't have a vaccum leak? I'd be hard pressed to believe carbon in a tube is causing that many dtcs on that truck!

i have this kind of problem before with my 2001 Ford Expedition the dealer want to charge me $250 just to correct the problem, already told them about the code(the misfiring of cylinder). i went home borrowed my friend pocket scan OBD II (in which i have my own now. anyway try to check the boot of your sparkplug there might be some electricity from the sparkplug that is leaking that's what i found out on mine. and don't get to the dealer it will cost you a lot$99.00 for one piece at Autozone it only cost me $9.50/a piece....good luck  let me know if you corrected your problem

to : jfdewalt >>>> if you are using a KN&N filter take it out and clean it again and DO NOT use too much oil..it might correct it.

if you're talking about 304 check it's boot for the spark plugs i have that problem before they is a leaking electric current going to the plug...but if it is 171 my remedy on that one change your air filter or if you have a K&N clean it...because on PO 171 the air is too lean
