 2000 VW Jetta: I have P0302 code, misfiring #2 cyl. I have replaced sparked plugs wirings and changed all the plugs 3 times already for the last 6 months since the code first came up but, code 302 keeps coming back after a little over a 100 miles after the plugs gets replaced. What could be the problem?

At this point I would move on to the coil pack, If your car uses the coil on plug setup. I would swap coil packs with the #1 or 3 cylinder and see if the misfire travels to the other cylinder.

 Thanks, I will do that. Then what do I have to do next if it does travel or what does it means?

Hopefully thats what will happen. If you switch a part from one cylinder to another and the problem travels to that cylinder also, then the part is defective. What type of spark plugs have you been putting in your car? If they're anything other than the factory plugs I would suspect that too!!

Thanks you so much for the advice. I really appreciate it. Fortunately the check engine light went away after I pulled out the plug and re-tightened it. I didn't think it was loose cause I torque them every time I install them so ,I'll see how long before I see the check engine again. My plugs are NGKBKURET10 that was recommended by the dealer, although I've used Bosch 403 in the past.
