hii.. i have a 1997 vw jetta trek 2.0 manual 5 speed.... and i can't get rid of the check engine light it goes on and off by itself every other week.... the code is p0172 (bank 1 system running too rich ) i've alreay replaced the o2 sensor in front of the cat convertor and i replaced the MAF ( mass airflow sensor) i checked all the vacuum lines and none of them are cracked or leaking.... but i keep getting all kinds a oil in my air filter hose and i keep having to clean it like once a week.... is that because i have a K&n filter in it ???? or some1 told me my pcv valve might be cracked or broken.... any suggestions????? ne1 else have the same problem????? :x

Yes, of corse your K&N filter is the responsable for the oil.
I´m 90% sure the the K&N filter is the responsable for the mil code (p0172)...
Teke out that filter. clear codes,, and keep posted.
