I have a 2003 Chevy S10 V6 80K miles, that has been slow starting and intermetently been running rough. Just today the check engine light lite up while running rough. Codes P0131, p0137, p0151, p0300 were retrieved from the computer. The funny thing is that if the truck is shut off for a few seconds, it will startup and run fine for a while. Is this possibly a fuel pump/filter issue? The filter was replaced about 5K ago. Since the fuel pump costs about $300, what is the best way to check it out? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like a problem with the fuel pressure regulator and or an injector blleding pressure off. You'll need a pressure gauge hooked into the fuel system to verify proper pressure and whether it's bleeding off

Good luck and keep us postted

Thanks for your suggestion. Hooked up a fuel pressure gauge. The pressure was very irregular and dropped immediately when the car was shut off. Someone recomended a fuel pump. After replacing the pump runs great. Thanks again for your input.
