I failed an Ohio e-check due to my check engine light being on. I took the car to a Subaru dealer and paid $277 for a new knock sensor. Make a long story short, I've taken the carback to the e-check every Saturday for 2 months and have yet to actually take another test. They scan it and it reads 'not ready'. I've put over 2,00 miles on it and the folks at Subaru are at a losss. the kicker is, if I had spent $300, they would allow me to take the test.
How do I get a 2207 Subaru Legacy Limited Edition Outback to runn through the drive cycle and be ready to test? My plates expired in September!
You may want to take it back to the dealer. They should not have erased the codes after the repair for your knock sensor. They should have driven it through the drive cycle; so that the computer would retain all the set monitors.it had at that time.
