This is a flex fuel 3.3 engine with 75,000 miles originally I had codes (get ready) P0134, P0132, P1478, P0141, P0138, P0140, P0442, P0455, I understand what the codes mean. I replaced both O2 sensor's and installed new plugs and erased all the codes. The wire for the upper O2 sensor was broke in half when I removed it. It ran fine when I started it and went for a short ride, went out later in the day and right after I started it the check engine light went on giving me codes P0132 and P0138
now. The van runs better but not great. Is something else causing the O2 sensors to do this?
Please help, Ken

Is there a blown fuse(s) for the 02 heater circuit?, Was the wire repairred ? What brand of 02 sensors?

I'm not sure where to check for a fuse for that circuit, I don't see anything
indicating on O2 heater circuit but it makes sense. The wire was replaced when I changed the O2 sensors it was one assembly. The sensors where bosch. One more thing to add, when all this was going on the temp. gauge and cruise would work intermitently it seems OK now but I have not driven much. I will keep looking for a fuse for now.
Thanks Jeff
Ken

Yes I have a wiring diagram from a chilton's manuel, it's not very good though. It could be a shorted wire, I will contiue to look.
Thanks, Ken

Thanks Again Jeff!
I drove it again tonight, cleared the codes before I left the house. It ran really bad until the check engine light went on then was better (default program?). Anyway I have checked everything twice, everthing looks OK. Could it be the MAP sensor?

I doubt MAP sensor just because it's not a common failure from my experience, not to say that it's not a possibility but you'd need a scanner reading of the map vacuum to compare with the actual vaccum to verify,
I don't see a fuse in my manual for the 02 heater circuit but it's still a possibility of a circuit failure for both 02's, you'd have to verify that the heater circuit is present and that the signal circuit is making it back to the PCM, the ASD circuit plays a part in this so If you can find the realy marked ASD in the fuse box check it and maybe switch it with another one.

good luck and keep me postted

Jeff

I switched the ASD relay and erased the codes again, it ran OK for 3 or 4 minutes then really bad again. It seems to run worse idiling and at low RPM, when I step on the gas pedal it just bogs, if I can get the RPM's up a little it will run a little better but still eratic until the check engine light goes on.
Thanks Jeff

Finally fixxed it's a long story but the PCM was bad and was causing the new up stream O2 sensor to fail after a short time.
This had to resolved at the dealer no one else could trouble shoot it.
The only good thing was that the PCM is covered by a federal emissions warranty until 100,000 miles so I did not have to pay for it, the dealer said they charge $1000 for the PCM and labor.
Hope this helps someone else.
Thanks for your help.
Ken
