I bought a 02 FX4 off of ebay, real smart, never doing that again. Already had to replace the front wheelbearings, front hub assembly, front and rear differential gaskets and driveshafts front and rear(it's a 4x4). Now when I went to emssions today I failed because the check engine light wouldn't come on. It only failed the MIL bulb working portion and the MIL commanded ON portion. It passed the conector damaged and communication established test. The two codes that where in the computer were
p0135 02s Htr Circuit(bank 1 Sensor 1)
and )1131 Mfr Ctrlied Fuel and Air Metering.

What am i looking at here? Need new 02 sensors and something else along with a bulb? How much am I looking at here more importantly. It did pass the tampering inspection with the Oxygen sensor passing

NOTE:I have since replaced the bulbs check engine light is now one. I am just really wondering if the p0135 means that for sure I need to replace the 2 oxygen sensors before cat.

no it means the heating circuit for the upstream 02 sensor on bank 1 isn't working, maybe the sensor, maybe the wiring, probably would fail the e-test at a colder temperature. Sensor is likely that's all that's required but be sure to check the wiring first, the 1131 is probably caused byt the 02 code

That's what I was thinking to. I just need to find out which sensor is one one. Does anyone know? There are two 02 sensors pre cat one on the left of the car one on the right.

Bank #1, ahead of the cat, Bank #1 is the same side of the engine as cylinder #1
