I have a grand voyager with 257,000 miles, 3.8 engine that has been riding rough. I received a OBD2 code for the O2 sensor so I replaced the sensor. Then I got a P300 for random misfire. I found a vacuum leak and the car runs better but does not accelerate well at all.
My question is, why would the car misfire and lose power on acceleration? It idles fine and can be reved up in park just fine. I can get the van up to speed and it runs ok. It's the acceleration that seems to be related to the problem.
I have changed the plugs and wires. The injectors all have the same clicking sound when I listen to them with the a screwdriver ( did not have the auto stethoscope) . I have not not tried to remove them yet as this job is a bit big.
