I am getting p0300 and p0301 in my truck. I know they mean multiple random misfire and cylinder one misfire. I have 98000 miles on it so i changed plugs and replaced the number 1 cylinder's coil. I reset the code by disconnecting the battery and the code has come back on. dont notice a miss, but my mileage has decreased. the code will go off and come back on sometimes as well. Any ideas? :?: i noticed it seems to have visible smoke coming out of the exhaust but it has no noticeably different smell. I know its not burnt oil and does not smell like rotten eggs.

Check compression and see what the fuel pressure is supposed to be also for a bad injector

no does not smell like rotten eggs. It did overheat on me the other day and boiled out most of the radiator fluid. I have since refilled it and it has not done that again yet and i have not changed my tstat out yet, but i have a new one in hand.

I'd check the cooling system for hydrocarbons but it's likely a head gasket or two!

Don't buy a Toyota! Camshafts in the engines are breaking and rear differentials are locking up. Won't last as long as your Dodge. They still haven't figured out how to make a truck yet.

Don't buy anything! Just max out the economy with the credit crisis, lease everything and trade when the warranty is up and always drive new! Forget about buying built in North America support overseas economy and let Detroit fall! No thanks I'll stick with my domestic's
