ETA: Code P0455

Vehicle: 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4.0L, Auto, 71,000 miles

Problem: Rough idle or miss, worse under load, clicking in radio, all of which seem to be getting worse. Previously had code P0305 (cyl. 5 misfire), now has code P1282 (fuel pump relay control circuit) and P0455 (evaporative emission control system leak detected - large leak). Found TSB for P0455.

Recent attempts to fix: New plugs (E3) and coil rail, checked for vacuum leaks (none found), swapped injectors 4 & 5 to see if we got a P0304 (didn't), ran injector cleaner through fuel rail, replaced fuel filter/regulator

Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!

How long have you had the rough idle?
Did you just fill up the gas tank? Possible bad gasoline.

Pretty sure its not bad gas, we've had the problem for a while now, off & on. It started over the winter intermittently & its gotten worse in the past couple weeks. Now its pretty much everytime I drive it.

Okay but if you have that fuel pump relay dtc then of course it's not going to start! you have no fuel pressure if the relay isn't turning the pump on!

Edited op to add code P0455. I apparently didn't wait long enoungh this morning for this code to show up, but it was there when I went to lunch. I did however, find a TSB for this problem. Also dh replaced the fuel filter/regulator.

The problem is, if you look by the back left side where the gas tank is their are a few hoses back their and if they are cracked the slighest bit it will make an air leak noise and you just have to replace that hose. The hose goes to a canaster in the back left side where the bumper is. I hope this helps you a little bit.
