Please help me
I'm just getting ready to take a trip in my 2001 Lexus RX300 AWD, and my "check" engine light and VSC light came on. I read the code and 1135 came up. I think it means A/F Sensor Heater circut? Bank one sensor 1.
I ran STP Fuel cleaner through the system, disconnect the battery after a week, but the lights came back on.
Can anyone help me. Is it a sensor that is bad? They are very expensive. If one is bad how can I tell and which one? There is one on the manifold in front of the engine. Is this bank one sensor one?
Will it hurt to drive the car?
Thank You!
Dennis
PS mileage is 62,000, automatic transmission
The vehicle runs great, no misses or roughness

The code indicates a problem with the heater circuit for O2 sensor, bank one sensor 1. I have found this to be quite common and replacement of the O2 sensor has always resolved the problem for me.

Bank one is the side of the engine where cylinder number one is located and O2 sensor number one is the front sensor for that bank.

You may find little or no drivabilty issues, but the problem should be repaired as soon as you get a chance.

Good Luck!!
