Ive got a 98 s10 and the check engine light went on.
- the trouble codes that came up is p0446 01 and p0446 02
- 4.3 liter engine
- 170,000 KM
- no major work done on engine in the last 2 months (other than changing the Positive Crank Case Valve)
- Generic code description: Evaporative Emision Control System Vent Control Circuit Malfunction.

Can anybody help translate the generic code description for me into english? Maybe get a more specific indication as to where the problem is?

Thank you.

You'll need a manual or at least a passing idea about how evap emissions work on that truck, A solenoid and or vent valve would be a reasonable guess. I've changed quite a few myself on all kinds of gm's
