I Have a 2003 Grand Caravan 3.3 V6 with the P0601 code reading right now. It also has the codes 0442, and 0455 for evap reading as well.
My question is can anyone tell me what year PCM's are compatible with this car? Can I use a 2002, 2004 or other years with similar equipment?

My van was a fleet vehicle before I bought it. It doesn't have keyless entry. Just power windows and locks is about as fancy as it gets

Any help you can offer is appreciated! Thanks!

Most are not compatible from one year to the next, They sometimes physically plug in for example one SBEC controller to another but the software packages won't be the same and it may not even run, alot of parts yards cross reference the part number on the old one so if you have that it may help. If your vehicle is not equipped with a grey coloured skim key then an identical used pcm should work but may require a vin and mileage update performed. If it is equipped with skim then you're best bet is the dealer to get the skim code programmed to the new controller. Why was you're original pcm replaced ? what was the van doing etc?

Just tryong to get it to pass smog and now we have the P0601 code showing. SO I guess I need to replace the PCM. I don't know what the Skim key actually is. Please explain that in some detail. The van runs well enough however It wont pass smog due to the CEL being on from the code.

SKIM stands for sentry key immobilizer module, The keys are grey in colour, it's a factory option to prevent the vehcile from being stolen, the key can turn the ignition cylinder but if the chip isn't programmed to be acceptted byt the skim module it won't start

OK Thanks, I definitely don't have the SKIM then. I ordered a new PCM, and all I have to do now is track down the Evap leaks.
