 Post subject: 90 305 chevy needs wot cold,under 20 degrees

i have a 90 chevy 305 no codes
starts great warm,over 40
needs to be wot under 40 or it floods
iac was near original
seems to be a lower idle when it starts but not by much
creeps up as it warms
always has plenty of power
tuned up
havent cked temp sensor, egr yet
thanks for any help

I would check your coolant temp sensor first. When you hold it at WOT its in clear flood mode. It is fuel injected correct?

Check for a vaccum leak around the throttle body area! In 90 it should be still TB injection no?
Verify correct fuel pressure, timing etc!

it is fuel injected
timing is good and compression
put in new plugs and 5 and 7 plug wires seemed crossed
before it would start low idle with wot then work its way up after the plugs started right out on high idle today but it was 20 degrees warmer will ck the temp sensor and tbi gskt if it acts up tommorroiw,thanks for the help
