 Well........... I left my gas cap off, (in a hurry of course). My 'check engine light came on , my daughter told me my cap was hanging outside.. so I put it back on... and now my neighbor hooked up his 'code' thing and it came up ... 'P1404 EGR EVP 'high voltage'....

I took it to lube n go to have the oil changed, they hooked it up to their maching it read ' oxygen censor'.....

ok, i'm lost!!!

Have you cleared the codes? If you had the cap off and it triggered a code then if you replaced the cap you might be OK by clearing the code and continuing on your way.

By the way, a code description of "oxygen censor" doesn't tell us anything.

p.s. I don't trust any quick-lube places...
