 Post subject: 1999 Jeep Cherokee P0443 Engine code

Hi i have a 1999 jeep Cherokee, i just put a new stereo in it with a base and amps. After it was installed a check engine light came up and it is
Code:
P0443 evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve
we tried to delete the code still came up. The purge valve clicks like it is supposed to and the tubes and wires that connect to it look good. Tried to disconnect the stereo and it still came up.Have any ideas what i can do? :?:
