I have a 99 ford ranger V6 3.0L 2WD flex fuel. I have replaced the exhaust manifold tube, hases from tube to EGR sensor, Sensor, EGR valve, and I have taken off the throttle body and upper intake then cleaned it all out. I still get the code. I am out of ideas does anyone have and ideas? please help

Where did the DPFE (egr sensor) come from? There is a vacuum regulator that supplies vacuum to the valve have you checked that?

I bought the sensor from Auto Zone. I just picked up the regulater vavle today I am going to try it. Thanks I will post back. I checked the vaccum pressure to the EGR valve and I barley get a reading. I think you might be right about the regulator valve or maybe there is a leak in the tube.

The regulator does not produce much vacuum the egr does not need that much to open. I would return that P.O.S part to Auto Zone and go to the dealer and get the DPFE from them. Aftermarket units do NOT work.

I realize I'm just a girl but I have a 2000 Flex Fuel Ranger and had the same problem...changed all the same stuff (well, didn't take the manifold apart but did everything I could safely do with the book and online assistance)...I'd get the code out for a day or two and then BLAM...Something real simple fixed mine...put a new unibelt on. And not the cheap one either. Go ahead and buy the expensive one because it may just save you some bent valves in the future.
Anyway, put that new belt on and drove it for a few days and could tell there was already a difference with the new belt so it musta been BAD...got the OBD out and cleared it out and then got P14000--generic code--about 3 times and on that last reset it didn't come back on. May not work for you but its worth a shot probably.
