Hello,

I own a Mitsubishi colt 4G13 engine 1.3L 12V 1996.
Sometimes the engine light, in dashboard lights on and goes, but the car rides ok.
The car has an OBD II connector.
Pins populated: 1, 4, 5, 7, 9, 12 and 16.
So search the the compatibility and bought an Autel scan tool - MaxiDiag JP701 (says compatible with Mitsubishi 1996 models)
I plugged it, into the car OBDII connector, but a few seconds after gives always this message “ERROR LINKING”
Does anyone know if my Mitsubishi its "OBD II certified"?
If so, can you please tell me the compatible scan tool/code reader for my car?
Make: Mitsubishi 1300cc
Model: Colt CJ1AMNJEL6 Year: 1996
VIN: JMBMNCJ1ATU002841
Engine Type: 4G13
Fuel: petrol

best regards
Paulo Lanca
