I have a 2000 chev impala with a 3.4l engine. I just replaced the orginal oil burning engine, burned oil since I bought it, with a 2001 3.4l. Now I have to pull the evap line off to let the pressure off to fill the fuel tank. I had this problem a couple of times with the other motor. Now it is every time I fill up. the car runs fine and the gas mileage is great. I have replaced the canister back by the fuel tank by the fuel inlet. I also replaced the valve in which the evap line attaches to. Any other ideas?
