My service engine light came on the other day. After getting a diagnostics it was determined that code P0125 closed loop fuel control insufficient coolant temp was the problem. I don't know much about cars so if someone can please help explain what this means and what i would have to do to fix the problem I would be forever in your debt!!
The first thing to do is change the Thermostat as this is the easiest and cheapest solution, I have the same problem with my F150 HD and that is the Ford dealer solution. If that doesn't cure the problem it is probably one of the temperature sensors but don't know which one or how you find out which one
Post subject: yeah, why don't you just start replacing each part 1 by 1

but that might get expensive
you need to test......not guess
check for a vaccuum leak or exhaust leak, my suggestion, use a smoker
then you need to get a pin out chart and start checking voltages and resistance and make sure they are in spec
p0125 I believe can be triggered by a o2 sensor, vaf sensor, ect sensor, faulty injector, clogged fuel filter, faulty fuel pump, intake or exhaust leak....good luck
