So I have a P0101 code throwing sometimes when I really get after it in my truck. Just idling around or driving normal the light will not come on. However if I take off hard or have to pass someone in a hurry, the light will come on and stay on for about a day or two and then go off. This has happened the past couple weeks off and on. Truck has 62000 miles on it and a K&N cold air kit that has been on it since it was almost new. Nothing else has ever been upgraded or replaced. Is this something to worry about? Is there something wrong with my MAF sensor? Seems like if it was the sensor, it would do it more often. I don't know. All vaccuum lines and plugs seem to be hooked up good. Could this possibly have something to do with a dirty air filter since I have neglected cleaning it in a while? Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check/clean MAF and check the circuit to it as well.

K&N air filters are known to affect the MAF because of the oil in the filter contaminating the MAF wires.

Also make sure there are no leaks in the cold air kit.
