 Post subject: 1999 Ford Taurus 3.0 DOHC Onboard Monitor test

My son has a 1999 Taurus that we just put a used motor in. It started and ran for about 10 minutes. I revved it up and when it came back to idle it stalled. I have fuel pressure and it tries to start but no go. I have a Harbor Freight tester and it shows no codes. It also has an onboard monitor test function. This test has two failures. It lists the tests as $10 and $21. I can't find any data on what these tests are. Thanks for any help.

That is where the Mode $06 data is stored.

Go to www.motorcraftservice.com, click on Technical Resources, then click on OBDII Theory and Operation.

Once there, look up your model year.
