I am new here. I have a 2007 Mazda 5 and I am getting a p0148 code. The auto parts guy said that is for a low coolant temp. I did a search on this forum and couldn't find any similar posts. Where should I start looking for the trouble? Stuck up thermostat? Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

The level is full, it was the first thing I checked. The light just came on a couple of days ago. I bought the car used a couple months ago. It didn't come with an owners manual. What kinda of coolant do I use? The stuff in there now is green.

I know it's kind of a hot season but do you notice less heat from the heater when the car is on full heat? If so then i'd suspect the thermostat is stuck open. Im sure what colour the coolant should be in a Mazda. If the thermostat has malfunctioned it can generate that code. Maybe swing by the dealer and have them check it. It may be a common code, tsbs etc

Thanks, I check the heat. I'll wait until a little later. It's 90f degrees right now. . I'll hit the dealer this week. The cars running fine, just that code.
