Hello, and thank you for such a great forum!
My GF's 2004 Cavalier has been starting and running a little rough lately when cold. Yesterday it started and ran really rough, she got about 10 feet and it died.
It's giving a P0130 code so I'm going to replace both O2 sensors, and the spark plugs too, since they look like it's been running rich (they're very black).
I'm wondering if there's something more going on since it cranks over, but won't start? Or is it typical of a P0130 to prevent the vehicle from starting? Also, since the plugs give a fairly clear indication that it's been running rich, I'm wondering why it didn't throw a code to indicate a rich condition?
Try unplugging it and see if it will start. if not diagnose as if it was just a no start and don't be overly conceend about a code. Verify correct fuel pressure, strong spark, correct timing etc
