Of all people, even the guy who runs this site gets OBD-II trouble codes now and again!!!
The other weekend I was on the highway and the Service Engine Soon light came on. I scanned the code to find a
P0125 Insufficient Coolant Temperature For Closed Loop Fuel Control.
I was driving my 2001
Ford F150 (58K miles on it) on the highway for just over an hour with a very strong side wind. There were no driveability problems, nothing unusual at all. I cleared the code and it didn't return.
I determined that the strong wind caused the problem. You see, the truck's engine is exposed more than a car engine because the truck is higher off the ground, has a bigger grille opening, and the wind was very strong. Oh, and it was below 0 degrees Celsius also. The engine just couldn't get up to operating temperature in time.
FYI. It's been quite a while since I saw the SES light. Hopefully I don't see it again for a long time
