02 chevy van 5.7 39,000 mi.p0300 w/coolant loss

2002 chevy express van 2500 39,000 mi. 5.7 p0300 intermittent misfire code coolant been disappearing lately runs rough in morning whith steam coming from exaust. this is obviously coolant making its way out to exaust seems like head gasket but van never overheated so im wondering if there is something like intake plenum or intake gasket that commonly goes on this motor

Lower intake gaskets do leak in these. If the misfire is on one of the corner cylinders 1,2,7,or 8 then could be the problem.
