Hello,

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokke Laredo, v8, RWD, 94k miles. The trouble light just came on this morning, though the idle has been fluxuating a little lately. I have retrieved the following three codes today: p0205,p0207, & p0209. Could the injectors just need a cleaning or could it be wiring, or should I have the injectors tested for replacement?

The answer to your question is yes you could need an injector cleaning and if that dont help then you could check out the wiring going to the injectors and replace the injectors on them if need be

The codes are for the injector circuit. Dont think that cleaning will do anything for this. As cleaning will fix a mechanical issue not a electrical issue like the code defines. In the past I have had a bad throttle position sensors that caused numerous injector circuit codes. If you are able to scope the TPS you may be able to a clitch in it when you open and close the throttle. You may not see it but TPS are common to fail.

No you don't need any new injectors or an injector cleaning! dirty injectors will not cause circuit codes for the inectors! 95% of the time a new TPS from the dealer fixes it! the other 5% is wiring issues!
