I have a 1999 lexus rx300 that will crank but cuts off after 3-4 secs & 800 rpms. I used the OBD II & got a diagnostic code PO100, fuel air metering. What is this?

P0100 = MAF or VAF A Circuit Malfunction.

MAF = Mass Air Flow sensor

VAF = Vane Air Flow sensor

The sensor is located between the Air Filter and Throttle Body in the Intake Snorkel.

Check the wires and connection (plug) as well as the sensor itself for voltage, ground, etc.

Either repair the circuit, clean/replace the MAF.
