 Post subject: 2001 bmw p0365 need help

hi i have a 2001 bmw 325xi i own a shop and have been having turble trying to get this code out we replaced the head on the car and had no codes for about 3 weeks then we got this code for the cmp sensor and we replace both sensors bank a and bank b and we still get this code and this web site dose not say any thing for it.

If you used OE sensors then most likely the cam timing is off when the head was put back on.

that is what we are starting to think but also i tested the exhaust cam sensor and i think it is bad from the factory do were going to put a new one in and also check the timing cuz that vanos system is hard to get on the money it takes bmw 3 to 4 times to get it right. i think the intake cam is a little too much advanced by a hair also cuz it bogs in mid range.
