Help. My check engine light comes on every once in a while, then goes out on its own after a couple of weeks. Tonight, my friend used the OBD II to find the P0420 and P0430 codes and reset the engine light. I was considering trading the car in but didn't want to take it to the dealer with the light on. What is wrong with the car? Is this an easy fix or should I take any offer for the car? It runs fine, so I'm not sure what to do at this point.
