I have a 98 chevy k1500 with a 350. I just replaced the lower intake manifold gaskets and put everything back together. Now I'm getting a P0102 code, so I went back and triple checked my wires and connections and everything is right. I clean the connections. Still there, I even went and got another mass air flow sensor. The check engine light is still on. Any ideas?

make sure all the the duct work is hooked up and that the air flow meter is going in the right direction. did you connect the grounds back that go on the thermostat housing stud?

ok the wires to the maf your pink wire should have battery voltage with key on the black is the ground and the yellow is the return to the ecm. check to make sure you have battery voltage on the pink wire first, if thats ok then check your ground. if you have no power then check the fuses in the underhood fuse box for one being blown. if all is good then its possible that job didn't go together ok and you have a leaking intake gasket or a vacuum leak somewhere that is sucking unmetered air.

I found the problem, there was a "O" ring that goes around the fuel meter body that sits just inside the upper intake manifold. I was just sitting on the lower intake when I took the upper off. Put a new one on, problem solved. Thanks for any help.

now I'm getting a P1345 code. I've moved the distributor one tooth counterclock wise. Still runs fine but the check engine light is still coming on. Should I move it two teeth clockwise or should I replace the crankshaft position sensor?

only way to fix this is to have a scan tool with data and look at the cam retard pid and it should be close to 0 degrees. be sure not to rotate the distributor to far the cap's plug towers needs to be parallel with the firewall as much as possible. if you have to rotate it alot to get in spec then you have to take it out and move it.
