well yeah if you cleanned the cats out then you can put two new converters on your shopping list because gutted converters are going too throw that po430 fault, as for the remaining p0300 check for correct fuel pressure and no bleed off through the reg, correct distributor phasing/timing, egr operation, cylinder compression etc!

The p0430 code was already on the tahoe before I cleaned them out. now when I removed the distributor for intake gaskets I put it back where it was and the truck still had a miss I was told by a GM tech that I had to line rotor up on a number 8 that was stamped on distributor base and then it ran fine until last week and those codes came up.

the distributor was in wrong when I bought it from a friend, he had some one replace intake gaskets on it and they had it in wrong, the truck always had a small miss since we haved owned it and started getting worse that's when I replaced injection and all that was wrong was the intake was blown from last guy and distributor was in wrong .Truck has ran fine for weeks until these codes came up.

Do you have acess to data? GM had good misfire counters to see which cylinder(s) are causing the problem. What did you do to clean out the convertor? Did you gut them? P0430 is a convertor. The dist. cap terminals have to be paralell to the firewall if they are not then it can a misfire due to the design of the cap. Also look at the cam retard pid it needs to be 0 degrees +/- 3 degrees.

It never seems to amaze me when things like this happens! People need to slow down and double check their work!!
