Camshaft position sensor code. Car runs okay. Doesn't seem too bad. Starting is rough, have to pump gas pedal to start. What is likelyhood of camshaft position sensor? is it likely to be timing instead? Crankshaft position sensor? What should I look for for checking sensors? are they resistance based, on/off at TDC, etc? What should I look for off the sensor contacts? Can replace no big deal if camshaft sensor, but urious of this is likely by te symtoms before just wasting money on part.

PO340 IS MOST LIKLEY A CAM SENSOR..THIS SIGNAL IS NEEDED TO CRANK BUT NOT TO RUN.. IF THE CRANK SENSOR WAS BAD IT WILL NOT RUN AT ALL.. YOU SAY IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET STARTED TYPICAL CAM SENSOR AS LONG AS THE CAM TIMING IS OK. IF YOU HAVE A SCOPE IT SHOULD A 5VOLT SQUARE WAVE.
