p0305 after pulling 3 ton hello. new here but i'm not new to a wrench. i drive a 2001 f150 4.6 with 73000 mile on it. i was pulling an 18 foot trailer loaded with wood. trailer wieght was about 6000 lbs total. the following morning p0305 showed up. done tipical plugs, coils ect. no smells or vacume leaks detected. normal running condtion is perfect. problem showd up directy after pulling with truck. thoughts?
no vacume leaks found. all four plugs on the left bank were oil soaked. compression a little lower on number five then other cyls. but right bank including num five plug look normal.
Could be that your engine was not anymore in optimal mechanical conditions,. and as a result when you were pulling the big weigh, the engine was sensitive of the heavy stuff resulting in a big effort and a lot of compression needed on the cylnders. Then the oil passed into the cylinders.. You may have to check the condition and life of your engine, maybe you gonna need an engine overhaulin..
