Ram 1500 P0601

New here, I have a Ram1500 4X4 and it had an active code P0601, also when I put into drive or come to a stop light it does not want to start off in 1st. gear but if I put it down into 1st it will go.

sounds like you might need to change the tranny filter if that doesn't work i would take and have a diagnostic done on it before it gets any worse . you take a chance on burning the bands out if you continue to drive it like that if there already not gone?

well without knowing the year of your truck you're giving us little to go on but are you aware of the definition of the code for starters? it's a pcm internal fault? will the tcm, and or pcm communicate with a real scan tool? see the forums for starters.
