Nissan 2006 Senta 1.8S evap small P0456. This code came on so I replaced the cap with my 2005 Sentra 1.8S but the light came back. What part do i need to fix this problem? '05 and '06 Sentras are the same vehicles. Recently in my '05 Sentra took it local mech for an evap large. Did a smoke test that came up with nothing. Then I took it to the Dealer for check light and this is what it cost and what they did. Test code P0455 gross evap leak. Replace the evap canister vent conctrol valve. Labor 123.00 parts 101.42 tax 15.71 total 240.13
I would love to be able to buy the right part for the '06 and put it in myself.

First if you want to save money ; Check under vehicle near the canister if there is no broken or loosen hose, be sure you replaced the gasoline cap with exactly the same original good quality cap.
Check all around the fuel tank for lossen, dammaged or broken hoses.
If all the hoses are OK then I suggest you to make a smoke test. But if you want to save money then you can try to change the vacuum cut bypass valve that is fitted near the chanister. Is a cheaper way to start fixing the problem.

they're bothe leak dtcs, you could have the same failure on both but the part is just not leaking as bad. That was my point!
