2001 Ford Taurus with P0301

My car just started giving me this code. I have been battling a P302 code for a couple of weeks.
But if I let the car warm up first it seemed to run fine. Now the new code happens a little bit after you start up the car, it also flashes.
The engine light will stop flashing after a period of time but then comes back if you rev the engine, while in park.
I replaced the plugs and wires about 3 weeks ago.
I've read that it could be the coil pack, but I can't seem to find our how to check the coil pack for any Taurus after 2000.

Can anyone tell me if I am going in the wrong direction or tell me were I can find the info to test the coil pack?

I have just completed the same thing on my 96 mystique. I went to the Autozone web site and found a test procedure for the coil pack. Worked great. Good luck.
