 Post subject: 96 Ford Areostar, P0340?

Does anyone know of anything common for this problem on the Areostar. I know its for the cam position sensor and did a visual inspection, all looks ok.

Jeff what i'm asking is if anyone knows if there are any common problems, possibly the sensors go bad often?

on a 12 year old van it's a good possibility but I can't say there's a more common pattern failure
then the other, a tsb search maybe a good idea
