I have a 2000 Dodge Stratus. It was driving fine until one day it wouldn’t idle, well it would but it was ruff about to die out. Once it gets going its okay, but as you come to a stop it wants to die, and the idle gets ruff again. I used my ODII and got a reading (MAP sensor) :?: I changed it and the plugs but still ruff. It also gave me a code of P-0172 Bank 1 too rich. What could cause that? Is it the fuel injector? Or an O2 sensor? I some advise. Thanks.

egr valve is possible but so's an 02 sensor? I'd doubt it was an injector unless you could determine a misfire on a paticular cylinder. It needs some diagnosis at this point.

Okay, I changed the O2 sensor and checked the EGR, but didn’t change that yet. It idles a little better, however when I put it in gear it sputters for a few seconds like its getting flooded or not getting enough gas then it drives okay but still a little rough. When I come to a stop it dies out. I got another code of P0113 IAT sensor circuit high input. What does this mean?

These are the things I did so far:
I changed the MAP sensor Code P0107
I changed the Spark Plugs
Checked the wires, they were changed less than a year ago.
I checked for any misfiring (none)
I also checked the injectors, all are working
I didn’t change the EGR, it might be my next step.
I did change the 02 sensor

Could I get some advice or any input?
Thanks….

it means the intake air temp sensor is probably open circuit. I think it's either in the air intake snorkel or under the battery tray. can't remember off the top of my head on that one. Not likely to cause it to run rough but finding a wiring isse near that sensor may lead you to other comprimised circuits that may play a bigger effect on the drivability. As well I never use parts store brand o2's because of a poor track record with them and you can block off the egr temporarily to see if the valve is in making it run poor. As fuel pressure bleed and proper psi need to be verified.

Thanks for the help. To block out the egr, do I need to remove it?
