Hey guys I got a Civic here as topic states thats giving me a P0441, the car's burning way more fuel than usual. I was thinking it was the purge solenoid located beside the air filter mounted on top of the throttle body, has anyone had this problem? I disconnected the hose on the engine side and the RPM's started to go up and down, I disconnected it from the canister side and nothing left it like that running for 5 minutes or so and still nothing, when is it supposed to start purging?? This problem has me puzzled can anyone please help me out with this that would be greatly appreciated.

Tom

the possible cause of this problem is bassically EVAP system leakage.

u can check the Gas cap and EVAP system plumbing.

also , do a kind of anhance PIDto display purge command shot/long term fuel trim.

.

loose the gas cap, set MIL lamp the EVAP monitor wont rununlessthe fuel tank is bt 1/4 and 3/4 full. vehicle must rest overnight , check also solenoid, vapour link can be very difficult to finde , u can use spray soapy water on hoses or a smoking machine to presurise the system so leak will be visible.

good luck
