98 ram 1500 sport 4x4 5.9l automatic

i have 106,500 miles on this truck and it set these 4 codes on me last night:
P0132
P0135
P0138
P0172

its running way too rich to the point where it actually idles down to about 100-200 rpm and sometimes dies. thats just when idling. if i roll up to a red light and it starts acting up when the light turns green it acts like its bogging down and backfires until i mash the throttle and bring it to about 2100 rpm then its fine. the catalyic converter is not clogged, both 02 sensors have been changed, codes cleared and they come right back on.
both sensors voltages are a constant 1 with no fluctuation in the numbers.
when im driving anywhere between 0 and 2000 rpm it surges up and down all the time unless im going about 60 mph. im at a loss here

Is the fuel pressure correct? What's the tps voltage saying at idle? Is the distributor timed correctly? Does the fuel pressure bleed off through and injector? what's the coolant sensor reading? Does it misfire? How did you verify the converter isn't clogged?

So you don't think gutting the conveters could be causing the 02 problem?

On all 3? Nope! If it's stuck on one extreme it's normally telling what the the engine is doing which is what it's supposed to do!

Not likely! You need to determine why it's running rich then install new CATS. The rich condition and probably prolonged misfiring is probably what led to the first conveter failure, those trucks often develop an internal vaccum leak from the plenum pan blowing out causing all the symptons you're having plus oil consumption, very common, posts about this all over this site and the net! Gutted converters and 02 simulators are illegal and money wasted! If you're going to throw money at it throw it a tech who can diagnose it at least, Not shiny go fast scams!

SO removing, disabling or modifying a factory installed emissions component is not illegal? You sure? I think you're thinking because there's no testting that it's legal! I'd recheck the national legislation about it! Either way get it fixed correcttly!

so im bringing this topic back to life to let anoyone that may have this problem too, this whole problem, which cost me atleast $200 bucks in parts, was a blown fuse this whole time. i found it, changed it out, reset the computer and the trucks been running like a top for the past 2 weeks. so if you get p0132 and p0138 at the same time, check the fuse first. on mine it says oxygen sensor on the diagram, ohers may call it engine control or what have you, but check it first it will definitely save you time, money, gas, and trouble
