I have an 2001 Audi A4 1.8 Quattro that i recently had in to our mechanic for a tune up and to replace a anti freeze reservoir component stemming from a small leak. After getting the car back the check engine light came on. It was not on prior to taking it to our mechachin. We took it back and they said the code was 17536 which is apparently a long term fuel code. The car runs perfectly fine. We have not noticed any difference from before taking it in to now. They replaced the vaccum hoses, which were in pretty sad shape. Drove home and the check engine light came back on with the same code. I now have to take it in and leave it overnight for them to try to figure out what the problem is. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Mileage is about 80k.

17536 = Long Term Fuel Trim mult., Bank 1 System too lean.

Most likely a faulty/dirty MAF.

Audi has issued a warranty extension on selected 2000 and 2001 vehicles.

I suggest you contact your Audi dealership.

Good luck and keep us posted.
