My 2001 Nissan Sentra (1.8L) is giving code P0430. Dealer says the converter needs to be replaced. This car has 2 converters, is this related to the front or rear converter? BTW the dealer says its on Bank1, but everything seems to indicate P0430 would be bank 2.

The code is definitely correct. I had the code read at a couple different places and it has been consistently P0430.

Then it's Bank 2.
Any exhaust leaks before the cat?
Can you monitor the O2s before condemning the cat?
As a long shot, you can enquire with the dealer to see if it i(the cat) is still under warranty.
Good luck and keep us posted.
