I was working on my 2000 Trooper the other day and i was going to rev the engine up and i turned what i thought was the troddle, but it killed the engine.I did this acouple of times and it did the same thing.I guess it was not the troddle and it put my Trooper in the reduce power mode and the check engine light came on.I turn the car key off and let it sit for alittle while and it started right up,but now the check engine light comes on.I took it to our parts store and these are the codes.P1290,P1125,P1295 under each one of these it says Manfacurer Contrl Fuel Air Metering.I did rest the codes and the light but it just came back on.Please let em know what i can do to get the check engine light off.The trooper seems to run ok but the light is driving me crazy. Thanks Kevin

P1290 = Elec Throt Control Particulate Bank 1 Idle

P1125 = Throt Control Limit Perform. Mode

P1295 = Elec Throt Control Power Manag. Mode

Check wiring and connections to the Electronic Throttle Control as well as fuses.

TPS is probably on the accel pedal and when you moved the throttle by hand you confused the computer. If this is the case the codes eill probably go away on their own.
