I have a 1998 Honda Civic LX. Everything is stock. Recently my car was over heating, I had my head gaskets, thermostat & radiator replaced. The manifold was cracked too, it got soldered but never replaced. After all that got fixed, the check engine light came on.

I ran the codes, and I got P0170 FUEL TRIM MALFUNCTION (BANK 1), and P0172 SYSTEM TOO RICH (BANK 1).

What do those codes mean? What's broken? What should I fix so that I can make them disappear?

Please shed some light!

Thanks!

:D

You'll have to monitor the fuel trim data and see what it's reading. Can you post that info?
