Hi,
I have a 97 mitsubishi galant that has been having trouble idleing at low rpm and at full stop. On the highways it's fine. I checked the engine light code and it came up as P0505. Now, i have a haynes repair book, but i'm having trouble figuring out what is wrong based on that code. Is it the IAC valve or IAC motor. I'm having trouble determining how to solve this issue. Please let me know what should be my next step.

So have you changed the iac motor?
