Hi, I'm a diyr, at times, and it sometimes works out. Not this time. I have a '99 Pontiac Grand Am GT. Recently my wife was caught in a rain storm , almost a river, and water got in through the ram air and of course stalled it. We got it running again by forcing the water out through the spark plugs. The problem now is excessively high idle, 1400rpms. The code at one point read P0102. I replaced the MAF with a used one but it made no difference. High idle is suppose to be indicative of the IAC valve, which I also replaced with another used on ,as well as cleaning the TCS, and vacuum lines seem to be okay.. Should I start replacing more parts, unsure of the result, or is there possibly something else I should be looking for?

Before the rain storm was the code there? Installing the used MAF had no effect? Is the ram air equipped with an oil soaked K&N in front of the MAF?

Hi, Jeff the used one was from a '99 chevy Venture mabe it wasn't compatible. There was no effect at all. The code was not there before and it has a paper filter which has been replaced. Any other suggestions?

I'd be checking that circuit to the MAf then unless your used one is defective or imcompatible!
