My check engine light is on. OBD2 scan says P0400. Is there anything that I can try before replacing the EGR? Car seems to run fine. The engine knocks sometimes going up a hill so I can't say that it is because of the EGR. Idle is generally okay though a little rough sometimes (not always). Mileage is not great. The only other problem that I have is that there is some oil in the spark plug well - possibly because the valve cover gasket needs to be replaced. Could this be linked to the P0400 code?
