64k mi. Idle fine, but no accel, stumble, stumble, stumble, dad say it
been like that for some time

Right off bat I replace TPS. no change. get out the book, test for voltage
at TPS harness. (key on, eng off) Top wire (from PCM) ok. bottom wire goes to ground like the other senders on the engine. no prob. middle wire...???
Download ADL software, plug laptop to car, get P0122, P1131, P1151.

Disco battery, remove PCM plug, find hole 89 (from schematic), test for
continuity between PCM and TPS, no problem.

PCM at fault??

disconnectting it enables the pcm to substitute a known value in place of it's reading for fuel trim, if the drivability improves it often means the reading the MAf is giving isn't accurate! You could try cleaning it as well!

Thanks much that did the trick. discoed the MAF, the rpm stagered for a bit, then pic itself back up. Burped the throttle, and it reved like normal!

shut down eng, discoed neg bat cable, removed the MAF, and it was dirty. Got a cotton swab, cleaned the gunk off, reinstalled, runs great. will see later if the eng light comes back on..

thanks so much...
